John Loughborough Pearson
20th March 2025 at 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm
John Loughborough Pearson was one the most prolific church architects of the Victorian period, best known for designing Truro Cathedral.
He was responsible for the design of two churches in Hove: the monumental All Saints’ Church on the corner of Grand Avenue and Eaton Road—where this lecture will be held—and the more modest but equally interesting church of St Barnabas in Sackville Road.
The speaker, Clare Howard, is a researcher with Heritage England and has written a monograph on the life and work of Pearson.
Please note:
This lecture will be on a Thursday and will be held in the church, courtesy of the vicar and parish office.
