The Antony Dale lecture will be presented by Duncan Wilson, Chief Executive Officer of the newly reconstituted Historic England. He will give a brief illustrated talk on how England’s heritage has been protected and the challenges we face in keeping it. Following this he will be joined by Gavin Henderson for a general discussion and Q&A session.

Duncan Wilson OBE became Chief Executive of the newly formed Historic England in May 2015. Prior to that Duncan was Chief Executive of the Alexandra Park and Palace Trust from 2011 to 2015. From 2002 Duncan was Chief Executive of the Greenwich Foundation for the Old Royal Naval College, and before that Director of the Somerset House Trust.

Professor Gavin Henderson CBE, is Principal of The Central School of Speech and Drama, University of London. He was born in Brighton, and has lived there ever since. He was Artistic Director of Brighton Festival 1984–94. He is an Honorary Fellow of the University of Brighton and Vice President of the Regency Society of Brighton and Hove.

This is a paid and ticketed event. Tickets are £12.50 and include a glass of wine or soft drink.
