Housing: Status and Future

15th February 2023 at 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Free

Cranes towering over the city are a common sight. Streetscapes are being transformed. Housing is being built to meet need and targets. A panel of experts will discuss current objectives and strategies and what we may expect in the near future. The discussion will look at the wider context of national and local policy, infrastructure, neighbourhoods, place-making and the public realm. Speakers will include

Liz Hobden, head of planning at Brighton & Hove City Council;

Rob Sloper, senior development director at U+I;

Kelvin MacDonald, chair of Brighton Housing Trust and lecturer in town planning at Cambridge and Brighton universities.

It will be chaired by Frank le Duc, editor of Brighton & Hove News.

Anyone with an interest in development, architecture, social conditions and the future of Brighton & Hoveā€”in fact, everyone is welcome.
