The Royal Pavilion: under new management?

The Council has decided to embark on a procurement process to find an organisation to run the Royal Pavilion and Museums. This includes the Royal Pavilion and its garden, the Brighton and Hove Museums and Art Galleries, the Booth Museum and Preston Manor. It stresses that there are no plans to sell the buildings which are to remain in Council ownership. A new external body is being sought to take over their management to safeguard the future and generate income. A former plan to set up a trust for this purpose seems to have failed.

We're keen that any organisation appointed to manage these precious assets should have a very strong track record in the successful management of similar sites, and will be watching developments with keen interest.
